A Tranquil Escape from busy Brussels to the Elaisa Wellness

Living in the bustling city of Brussels can sometimes feel a tad bit heavy and sometimes claustrophobic. The city’s vibrant energy, while invigorating, can occasionally become overwhelming. That’s when we know it’s time for a retreat, a moment to reconnect with ourselves and eachother, away from the urban hustle. Our recent discovery? Elaisa Wellness.

Why Elaisa Wellness?

Nestled in the heart of nature, in the province of Limburg, Elaisa Energetic Wellness promises an experience that transcends traditional wellness. With its unique saunas and relaxation rooms, each space is a testament to design and energy. The promise of rejuvenation amidst nature’s embrace was too tempting to resist.

Getting There

Leaving Brussels behind, we opted for a Cambio – co-sharing car service. It’s about a 90 minute drive to car park of the nature reserve where Elaisa is situated. Once you get there, the most eco-friendly, convenient and cutest transportation will be waiting – an electric shuttle bus. Operating every 15 minutes, it ensures a seamless journey from the parking area to the grand entrance of the wellness center. The ride itself, surrounded by greenery, really set the tone for the relaxation that awaited.

Diving into the Experience

Upon arrival, the tranquility of the place enveloped us. Elaisa’s location near Belgium’s only National Park, the Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen, offers a serene backdrop that instantly calms the mind.

One of the unique features we appreciated was their swimwear policy. While every Wednesday and Thursday, along with specific weekends, are designated swimwear days, on other days, the choice is yours. And to be honest experiencing this place in no clothes is so much better! But having this flexibility allows for a personalized experience, catering to everyone’s comfort level.

Treatments & Pricing

While the website does provide an extensive glimpse into the range of treatments, we decided to explore firsthand. From traditional massages to energy-balancing therapies, the options were diverse. Each treatment, we learned, was tailored to ensure a holistic healing experience. As for the pricing, while some treatments are on the higher end, there are plenty of affordable options and treatments, ensuring that wellness doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket. Both of us opted for a crystal massage which was relaxing and rejuvenating. Bo also had a deep tissue massage whilst I opted for a Moroccan hamam treatment which left my skin super smooth. Since that moment I’ve incorporated rose water in my skin regimen.

In Conclusion

Our day at Elaisa Wellness was nothing short of magical. As we journeyed back to Brussels, we both felt a lot lighter, more in tune with ourselves, and ready to face the world again. Even if for a little while. I know this won’t be our last time at Elaisa. For anyone seeking a break from city life, Elaisa is the haven you’ve been searching for.
